Dr. Daniel Ivankovich, Co-founder and Medical Director at OnePatient Global Health Initiative, is a Northwestern University graduate with advanced training in orthopedic trauma and spine surgery. He oversees the Medical Services division, mentoring medical students and treating over 100,000 patients in orthopedic trauma, joint replacement, and spine surgery. He's conducted 5,000 surgeries in diverse locations, responsible for education, clinical compliance, musculoskeletal health, and healthcare policy advocacy at OnePatient.

Co-founder and Medical Director of One Patient Global Health Initiative, Dr. Daniel Ivankovich is a graduate of the Honors program at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. A fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon and spine specialist Dr. Ivankovich attended top post-grad fellowship programs at RUSH (Adult Joint Reconstruction), Northwestern (Adult Spine Trauma) and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (Spinal Cord Injury). In his role Dr. Ivankovich serves to provide oversight for the Medical Services division of One Patient Global Health Initiative. He is responsible for student education, clinical compliance, musculoskeletal health and wellness, as well as healthcare policy advocacy, and implementation.

Most notably, Dr. Ivankovich has overseen upwards of 120,000 patient encounters in his specialty areas of orthopedic trauma, total joint replacement, and spine surgery. He has performed over 15,000 procedures in some of the most disparate areas within the country. 

Dr. Daniel Ivankovich serves as precepting faculty member for multiple medical schools through the medical educational division of OnePatient Global Health Initiative.  As a clinical faculty member and mentor, he has trained upwards of five hundred medical students. In this role, Dr. Ivankovich provides guidance and instruction in the clinical setting to help students develop diagnostic and treatment skills, professional knowledge, and judgment.  This is especially true as it relates to the process of treating underserved or marginalized populations. 

Dr. Ivankovich’s expertise in the provision of musculoskeletal medicine in underserved communities leads him to be called into the local and national spotlights.  He is often asked to speak and/or provide expert opinion to media sources such as, ABC News, Associated Press, Becker’s Spine Review, CBS News, Chicago Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Crain’s Chicago Business, ESPN Magazine, NBC Today, Northwestern Magazine, Tedx Northwestern, USA Today, WGN Radio, and many more.
